Low maintenance Resco Compact Laminate preferred for Fieldays site.
The New Zealand National Fieldays Society’s 114ha Mystery Creek property south of Hamilton hosts events large and small, year round. Unsurprisingly, ablution facilities which are both robust and easy to clean are considered vital by management.
Resco’s Compact Laminate Series 5000 toilet and shower cubicles and Multicom wall linings have been used widely on the Mystery Creek Events Centre site, most recently in a changing room/shower block rebuild, and a toilet block, says operations manager Richard Ferdinands.
In addition to all the muddy boots generated at the huge annual Agricultural Fieldays, the site plays host to other events such as corporate challenge groups and stay-over festivals and camps, all bringing their own high use and cleaning demands. “When you’re dealing with so many people you need to be able to have a quick and efficient clean,” explains Richard. “The Resco systems allow us to do just that during events.”
Richard also points out that Compact Laminate is a relatively thin product, allowing maximum usable space to be created cost effectively, without compromising strength and durability inside their ablution facilities.
Resco general manager Troy Henriques highlights the ability of Resco Compact Laminate to cope with high traffic such as the 136,000 people who attended the 2016 National Agricultural Fieldays. Says Troy: “The system is one that is easy to maintain – it can even be hosed down. The surfaces contain an anti-bacterial compound and are graffiti resistant. The long life panels and low maintenance costs result in a long term investment for the customer.”
Resco colours used in the facilities photographed are an Off White/Silver Pearl combination.
